By doing the necessary preparations they can make our stuffs work easier and quicker, so they don’t have to waste time by doing work that could’ve been done by you if someone dad told you the instructions. By following these steps you can save hundreds of dollars and have a better control over your move.
ATips for packing the boxes perfectly:
- Have all of your boxes packed up and taped.
- Label all of the boxes with the room number, where you want us to put them.
- Place the boxes beside the wall on top of each other and make sure you leave enough space to work around them.
- Don’t pack the boxes too heavy. Each of them must be less than 25 kg.
- Place the heavy boxes on the bottom and the light ones on top.
- Mark the boxes that contain breakable items with the label FRAGILE, so we will handle them with extra care.
- Use smaller boxes for books
Wrapping
- Wrap all of your fragile kitchenware, ceramic or glass in butcher paper, especially plates and glasses.
- Wrap the TV with bubble wrap. We will wrap your belongings with blankets, but the bubble wrap is an extra protection, just to make sure.
- Remove shades and bulbs from your lights and wrap them with bubble wrap and place them in a box.
Electrical goods
- Tape all of the cables of your electronic belongings together, so they won’t get caught during your move in anything.
- Disconnect the fridge and washing machine.
- Take all of the food out from the fridge.
- Place the water pipes of the washing machine inside the drum.
- Small electronics, DVD players, microwave should all placed in a box labelled fragile.
- Take the glass plate out from the microwave and wrap it with butcher paper.
Beds and cabinets
- Do not put tape on antic furniture because it can damage the painting.
- Dismantle your beds, tape the parts together. (except antique furniture)
- Take the shelves out of the cabinets.
- Empty the draws and tape them on the 2 sides
- Remove the legs of the sofas and place them in a box or a plastic bag.
- With filing cabinets always lock them and tape the key on its back, so the key won’t break in the lock.
Outdoor furniture and garden equipments
- Empty and clean the tray of the barbeque.
- Remove the gas bottle of the barbeque.
- We can’t take hazardous materials in our truck, such as paint or fuel.
- Tape your garden tools together.
